We would like to welcome you to our new venture, a traditional 200 year-old village house in the heart of the Luberon region of Provence. The village of Cabrières D'Aigues lies on the famous Vaudois route and GR 92 trekking route, which takes you up to incredible views overlooking lavender fields, vineyards and the famous Ventoux mountain range. The beautiful Etang de la Bonde is only 2km away, a stunning lake which has a natural beach and swimming areas. The town is 40 minutes from the stunning town of Aix-en-Provence and just 50 minutes from Marseille airport. Luberon is renowned for it's cycling, walking and horse-riding. There are hundred of miles of tracks and very quiet back-roads to really get to see the idyllic Provence countryside.
Maison Lou Roucas is situated in the middle of the village of Cabrieres d'Aigues and you can walk to the little shop to collect your fresh bread and fresh produce for a picnic or sip a coffee in the morning at the brasserie. The Brasserie is open at lunchtime and in the evening and there are many other restaurants in other nearby towns and villages of Cucuron, Ansouis, Lourmarin and Vaugines.
Francesca is your host and lives in. She will prepare your freshly cooked breakfast every day using all locally bought produce from markets and farm shops. She will also offer occasional evening meals, which are paid separately.
The house sleeps 10 people in total and is sold by the room or exclusively on a B & B basis. The rooms are large so we can add other beds if necessary. Maison Lou Roucas consists of 4 bedrooms plus a large dressing room, which can be used as an extra bedroom. There are 3 showers, 3 loos and a large bath.
The large dining and living area comfortably seats 10 people and there is outdoor dining for 10 people as well in the beautiful and secluded private courtyard.
The bar is another great room for relaxing with acess to the courtyard from the main entrance and the games room. The south facing roof terrace is the showpiece of our magnificent house. The views across the town and vineyards make it the perfect place for an aperitif and the terrace has a barbeque and wash basin.
The newly built stone bassin salt-water pool is ideal for cooling down and the adjacent terrace shaded by the overhead grapevines is great for lunching or afternoon cold drinks. Being enclosed and at the end of a narrow lane makes gives total privacy.
We now have a new parking lot 50 meters away from the house! We advise you not to drive to the house as the streets are very narrow with low rocks. There is no parking in front of the house!
Take Route de Cucuron and turn onto Chemin de Palons - the car park is 100 meters on the right. Park towards the exit.
Or park in the main car park at the town hall 150m from the house.
There is a smart TV, satellite and wifi
